Rose Markotic, LMFT

Rose has experience working with adults, teens, and their parents. She specializes in helping clients experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, and perfectionism. When working with an adolescent, she equips them with the tools to feel better while also empowering parents with their own communication tools to strengthen their relationship with their teen. Rose also works with individuals struggling to change a habit or who may be going through a transition or experiencing grief. She enjoys learning about individuals in the context of their family and community system.

Rose helps clients learn how to shift their thoughts to change how they feel. She assists individuals feeling stuck in relationship patterns to understand their role and take active steps to improve the relationship. In her work, Rose practices from the TEAM Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TEAM-CBT) framework and incorporates methods from motivational interviewing and mindfulness.

Rose’s counseling approach is warm, empathetic, and holistic. She feels it’s important to be seen and heard as you are. Rose takes an active approach to developing collaborative relationships with her clients. Working together, they form an emotional sanctuary where they can explore solutions to problems as a team.

Es importante valorarse asimismo por quien eres. Todos somos parte de una familia, comunidad y tenemos la capacidad de sanar y encontrar alegría de nuevo.
